Lush.a.Lot's Review: The Icon bubble bar was yet another product in the "Icon" line of fragrance, like the Lush fragrances "Karma" and "Ginger" are now. The Icon line has perfume, bubble bar, dusting powder (the powder is a "10" product IMO) and ballistic. Icon bubble bar smells deep, incense-y and gothically romantic. Icon bar makes the water a beautiful medium purple color. The mysterious and sensual scent stays longer on my skin than most bubble bars. I've said that it reminds me of the witchy sensuality of Steve Nicks but Icon's smells also reminds me of that smoky sensuality and distant, brooding expression of Greta Garbo. A somewhat incensey or "churchy" scent that has undernotes of fruitiness and vague sweetness. Icon is a bubble bar that is fragrant enough alone but at times I like to combine the purple "Jingle Spells" ballistic and/or a "Black Pearl" ballistic. The purple of the Icon bbs, the silver and black shiny stars (and purple color) of Jingle Spells and the silver sparkle of Black Pearl ballistic all contribute to a gorgeous, sparkly, deep purple bath with tons of sensual fragrant bubbles. For you BPAL lovers, "Noir" smells similar and so does "Masquerade".
My hack job of a translation of Icon from the Lush Italy site description: For the strong of spirit, Icon's fragrance is complex and mysterious. Deep, smoky myrrh is said to be good for banishing apathy and lack of incentive; subtle, exotic sandalwood is worn to bring peace and acceptance and bergamot is calming and uplifting. You have to be a strong person to deal with such a beautiful a fragrance.
